Locks of Ronald
I am a Cancer Fighter!
My son, Ronald, who is 13 years old had decided to donate his hair to the Cancer Society, so someone in need can enjoy his hair as much as we have. We seen a massive fundraiser in Edmonton (WEM) a couple of weeks ago and this is where the idea came from. I thought he was kidding, but again last night he asked me if I found someone he could donate his hair to yet. I was shocked. He was serious! He has had long hair all his life and has never entertained the thought of wanting to cut it, until now. As heartbroken as I am, I am also very proud and humbled by him, and fully support him and his desire to help someone else. We will be cutting his on the next full moon, which is March 12, 2017 so the time is quickly near. We have a goal of $500.00 to donate to the Cancer Society as well. We hope you can help donate to the cause. We all have so much family who has been affected by this disease, lets do what we can to help.
Help me as I support the fight for life against cancer!
I am participating in a community-based fundraising event to support the Canadian Cancer Society's life-saving work as a cancer fighter.
The money raised from this event helps the Society fund leading-edge cancer research, advocate for healthy public policies, offer vital community-based support services for people living with cancer and their families, and provide reliable and up-to-date information on cancer, risk reduction and treatment.
JPlease pledge me and help me reach my fundraising goal.
Every donation takes us one step further in the fight against cancer. Online pledging is secure and it saves the Canadian Cancer Society money by reducing administrative costs.
Thanks for your support.
